Royal Class
~Chief~
This is the main patriarch of the pride who is in charge of caring for everyone. He helps lead the members in the pride, and guide them the right direction. He also is the main keeper of the piece in the pride.
~Chieftess~
This female is in charge of the care for all cubs. Also she is what helps keep the peace and harmony in the pride to make sure that everyone has a unique bond with one another. She tends to be the favored female when it comes to the Chief of the pride, and is never touched by another male.
~Scion~
These are the children that are the main cubs between the Chief and Chieftess. There are times where they can be between the Chief and another female, but it is a bit rare. Mostly these are the young who will take over the parents’ positions in the pride. Though if they act up too much the parents can easily change which child takes over the pride.
High Class
~Advisors~
These three males are the most trusted males that the chief speaks to in the pride. They have gained high honors in the group for him to go to them in hopes of possible guidance on ways to help rule the pride. Also they are the few males who are allowed 2-3 females out of the pride.
~Maiden~
These three lioness are in charge of helping the chieftess when it comes to caring for the pride. They do what they can when it comes to keeping the peace in the pride, but they mostly spend their time helping with the cubs of the pride and the Wisdom Speakers.
~Soothsayer~
They walk the path between life and death, and hear songs sung on both sides. The Soothsayer is considerably more experienced in many unorthodox or unknown medicinal methods, of which they pass down to their successor before death. Commonly seen as entangled in voodoo practice, and misunderstood by most pride life, they tend to use all knowledge they possess, in any way shape or form. If it's productive and useful, the Soothsayer knows about it. They often feel a sort of disconnect from the pride, but in a way are more understanding of the function of each member then even some higher up members. Although it isn't their place to intervene in most pride decisions, the Soothsayer is often called upon by the chief and chieftess for advice. Not all knowing, but pretty darn close. If you have an issue, medically or spiritually, seek out the Soothsayer.
~Shamans~
These are the more spiritually involved lions of the pride. Only few exist in the pride. Maybe two or four will be seen here. They tend to be very wise, and in tune with things that happen in the past, and are often spoken to a lot by the chief and chieftess. They also spend their time doing pride rituals and helping young choose their rank in the pride.
Middle Class
~Warriors~
They are the protectors of the pride. They mainly do all the fighting if they spot any danger in the pride or near it, and are the main guards of the pride.
~Vanguards~
They run about the territory looking for danger. If spotted they report immediately to the Chief or Advisors to discuss the danger. From time to time if need be they also serve as a form of an assassin, and will follow the hunters out in a hunt to help protect them.
~Hunters~
These are the lions who hunt for the pride. Mostly the strongest of the pride and agile are in their ranks. Spending a lot of time providing for the pride they also help keep an eye out for the cubs and teens in the pride helping keep them in line.
~Tribal Healers~
They are in charge of healing any pride members with injuries, and also are there helping with birthing or burying the deceased if need be. Providing some kind of comfort for the loved ones they help as the compassionate and loving side in the pride.
~Wisdom Speakers~
Though they are often over-looked due to their old age they are very respected in the pride, and it would be treason to kill one of the pride elders.
Low Class
~Kabataans(Teens)~
Young teenagers are from age 1-3 years. Any younger would still count as a form of cub. Once you hit the age of 4 years then you may choose a rank. They help tend to the pride as much as they can by helping the Tribal Healers, and sometimes go out on a hunt with the Hunters to get food for the pride.
~Cadells(Cubs)~
These are the young of the pride. They stay close to their mothers at all times, and never stray from the pride to create chaos. Though as they begin to reach their teen years their parents tend to help teach them how to do things around the pride, but most of the time they stick with their parents.
~Unborn~
Self explanatory. These are the cubs that have yet to be born into the world of the pride.
~Potato~
If you are not sure what rank you wish to be then this will be your temporary rank. You may not stay on this rank for more than three days. Any longer, and I will pick a rank for you, and will require you stay that rank without complaint since you had not chosen a rank within the given days. This is a fun rank, and I wish to keep it as something fun for a short time.
